About the Artist, Sally Pfieffer

Sally Pfeiffer, Potter / Pottery Instructor

sculptural, functional forms inspired by nature
in porcelain & stoneware

Sally has been an active member of the Waterloo Potters’ Workshop Guild for over 10 years.

Her pottery is characterized as sculptural, functional, artwork. Much of her work combines hand building and wheel thrown techniques. Working mainly with porcelain, she especially loves to create one-of-a-kind pieces that are inspired by nature.

Sally enjoys designing pottery programs for children of all ages as well as beginner adults. She gained experience through teaaching at the Waterloo Potters' Workshop in Waterloo, the Homer Watson Gallery in Kitchener and byDesign Creative Arts Acadamy in Bloomingdale and Creative Therapy Health Services in Waterloo, Ontario. She is currently expanding her pottery programs to specifically benefit students with special needs through working with Extend-A-Family - W.A.L.E.S program members.

On July 9, 2012 Sally moved into her own pottery studio on 42 Erb St. East Waterloo made possible in part by the Creative Enterprise Initiative of Waterloo, Ontario.
